This site is for anyone who'd like to follow how one chronic pain sufferer is coping with life. It's a cross between a diary of my medical journey, and other more interesting stuff, the mad, random stuff that helps keep me going when Pain is grinding me down. It's especially written for those who are in a similar situation but have yet to find others in the same place - it's a shout out that you're not alone, there're others out here that DO understand. This is my world. Come on in and share it, you're more than welcome... As to who I am well, I’m a survivor. A survivor of over 23 years of constant, chronic pain. It's got me down at times, and no mistake, but I've muddled through despite it all. I'm no expert on anything, but I can talk the hind legs off a donkey, and make a bloody good curry. For me Chronic Pain has been like a river, constantly shaping who I am, scouring out directions I may or may not have wanted to go but had to nonetheless. But as I float along on it, I see that despite it all, Life is still an enjoyable ride for the most part. But I'm not just a survivor. No indeed, there's much more to me than that! I'm a dreamer, a wonderer, a doodler, a coffee lover, a photographer, a talker, a poet, a photoshopper, a blaggard, a musician, an artist, a thinker, a designer, a cook, a peach & nectarine addict, a playmate, a playmaker, a carer, a friend, a confidant, a joker, a poker, an anytime toker, a creative, funny, smart, entertaining, frustratingly stubborn, endlessly fascinating, bloody nice bloke. I'm proud of what I've hung on to, and of what I've developed into despite my ever-present Pain. Only those that know will understand how hard that is. But here I am, like it or lump it.
I do hope it's the former...
