A Long Time Coming...

Things have been pretty tough of late, truth be known. I'm in the middle of a pretty vicious flare-up that has lasted an awfully long time. Of course, there have been days when things have calmed down, but on the whole the last six weeks have been pretty bad in pain terms. But, as you can tell from this picture here, it's not all been doom n gloom. Yes, finally, I've a new MacBook Pro, and a workspace to match...

Life's a bit mad really and no mistake...

It's been a mad few weeks. In many ways I've discovered new corners of Limbo. I spent nearly 4 hours in the Day Ward in St Vincents being drip-fed Ketamine, I've had weird blood test results, no news re my sleep apnea tests, new medication levels that have me zonked like a zombie, and just when I thought Life was getting just a bit too mad, a courier arrives at the door with a totally unexpected delivery...

Things to make you go YIPPEEE!

Just before I started this blog I had an emergency trip to hospital when my appendics ruptured spectacularly. I was 3 and a half hours in theatre and a full 10 days in hospital - during which St Patrick's Day bank holiday weekend came and went, as did the Easter bank holiday. Two bank holidays with not a drop of beer??? How do you make up for that? You buy yourself an iPod is how!

Finally, a Finnish for Finty

It's taken an age, but I finally upgraded my ancient Nokia 6230i and got myself into the 3G stream with a new Nokia N73. My brother's been at me for ages to "get rid of that feckin' thing and get a decent phone woudya." I ummed 'n' ahhhed for ages, but when my pal Dec showed me what he's up to thanks to 3 Mobile I finally cracked...
